Love everything about this program and this site. Just a small request. As I photocopy all my favorite recipes into a neat little book, it would be nice for each recipe to fit on only ONE page. Keep up the great work. It is much appreciated.

    Thanks, Renee

I read the recipe for Tex mex and it says one serving is 8 carbs! How many carbs in the one tablespoon required for two servings of the taco pizza

I am confused on your daily good menu's. Most all of the item you recommend in one day are WAY over my total fat grams of 81 per day. How would I be able to each as much as fat as you are recommending. The calculator I used said 81 fat, 81 protein and 20 carb per day for my goals. I so want to make your recipes but most don't allow me to eat them. Can you give me some guidance?

We do not recommend eating to specific macro numbers. Generally, you just want 20g carbs max and then making sure you get more fat than protein for keto ratios. Learning to eat to hunger rather than specific calorie or fat/protein numbers is very helpful.

Well my question is still on where to get almond flour, and the pyillum or how ever you spell it. The recipes look great, can’t wait to try them! I have gotten more info off this site then any other. Glad I finally undo it!

I don't know where you live, Sonya, but here in Australia, I can buy almond flour, almond meal and psyllium husk from my local Woolies supermarket - and I live in the country, not in a city.

Yes, the bases will freeze well.

Your fat grams are way too low and your protein way too high (never more than 50-60g/day protein for a woman). Your carbs are accurate, as long as 20g is total - not net. The rest should be fat. No woman should ever go below 1800 calories a day (usually needing much more), otherwise metabolism will be damaged and weight loss will continue to become harder and harder. Weight loss will follow if you remember these tips.

I'm not sure I understand the question. This serves 2 people as written.

    what goes into the salsa?

You can use a store bought salsa if there is no added sugar.

This looks like a tasty recipe for lunch. Is it still keto friendly if I load up on lettuce and tomatoes as a side dish? I love my veggies. I have noticed during the first week challenge my body was missing something, some sort of satiety even though I had a great meal, perhaps it is my body adjusting? Also, I am concerned about consuming so much protein on the keto plan. I do work out regularly are my concerns unfounded?

This is already 10g carbs. Adding more lettuce and tomatoes will make that carb count much higher, and would not be recommended. If you're following the meal plan, keto is only moderate protein, not high protein. Our keto meal plans are only 20-25% protein.

Agreed. I eat around 200g of fat a day and between 2500 to 3000 calories. I have a physically active job but don’t workout. I started diet doctor last week of March and exactly 8 weeks later I am down from 172 to 155. I’m a 5’ 6” female in my forties so I would say that’s pretty good progress while eating to my heart’s content. If I stop losing weight before I hit my goals, I will definitely reevaluate, but so far so good. I have also done it counting only 20 grams of net carbs. I feel like 20 grams of total carbs would be too hard for me to stick with simply because I do like veggies. So far 20 grams of net have kept me in ketosis.

We absolutely love this. It is one of the best recipes on DD for sure. On my portion, I add extra spicy sauces, love them and makes this a bit better.

Yes, you could replace the cheese. Mexican cheese is usually a blend of cheddars and monterey jack.

Oh boy, I am going to be the standalone .. this was terrible and very unappetizing (I tried with ground chicken). I made two small pizzas and ate half of one. Granted, it was very filling and I can see why it makes the keto list but still, not for me.

In the UK salsa that is sugar free isn’t easy to come by. I worked out that for 1 serving above a 1tbsp and 1/2 of salsa would be about 1g if sugar and 1.3g carb. Is this too much? If so, any suggestions please?

All salsas are going to have some natural sugars because of the tomato, since it's a fruit. You want to look for one with added sugar. If you can't find one with no added sugar, it is easy to make. There is an avicado salsa recipe incorporated within this recipe. You could omit the avocado if you prefer.

Our household loves this meal. We top the meatza with pico de gallo rather than salsa - needs the cilantro , onion, jalapeno and fresh tomato punch! And we always use ground beef - so that it tastes more like a taco meal. Ground chicken just is too wimpy for us. Thank you for all the wonderful keto recipes you provide. You make staying on a keto diet simple.

We have not tested this recipe using a grill. If you do give a go, make sure to swap out the parchment paper for something grill-friendly and let us know how it goes!

I tried meatzas before and found them underwhelming and incredibly dry. But this recipe is a game changer! The bases were soft and, let's say, moist. I changed the toppings slightly to a more traditional pizza with tomato sauce, some yellow pepper, mushroom and onion, topped with cheese. Yummy.

Loved the Taco Meatza! Surprised that I liked it without the taco shell. I followed the provided directions to a "T". The second step of baking needed to cook for 15 minutes @ 400 degree in my oven. I don't like guacamole so I added a small handful of Romaine lettuce on the side along with sour cream to finish the meal off. For me this tasted like an upscale Taco and I did not miss having it in a shell. Thank You for this great recipe!

Was a bit dubious about this working but I am so glad to be proved wrong. Flavours and textures worked a treat. Hubby didn't think it would 1 would suffice but he felt more than happy at end. Delicious, easy and will be made again and again

This was good and very filling. I used a pound of ground beef and split into 4 meatzas. Thanks for the recipe!
