Instructions

Instructions are for 2 servings. Please modify as needed.

  1. Roll the ground meat into two balls per portion.
  2. Heat a large frying pan with butter over medium-high heat. When hot, add the meatballs to the frying pan and press them down to into patties using a big spatula or a small plate. Preferably, try to make them as wide as your "tomato buns".
  3. Generously season the top of the burger with salt and pepper. Fry for a few minutes before flipping over. Add salt and pepper to the other side and continue frying until preferred doneness is reached.
  4. Slice the beefsteak tomatoes into 0.5" (1 cm) thick slices, 4 per serving. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  5. Put mayonnaise on half of the slices. Top with a burger, mustard, pickles, and another tomato slice.

Tip

You can replace the ground beef with any other meat, such as ground turkey, pork or lamb. Just make sure to adjust the cooking time accordingly.

Just made this..it was a quick, delicious, and MESSY meal. It was so good! I added cheese to the burgers, otherwise I followed the recipe. It was so filling. This is definitely going into the rotation. Perfect for when you don't feel like really cooking.

The 450g is for 2 servings. You can use the drop-down menu above the list of ingredients to change the quantity for 1 serving if you are cooking for just yourself.

Loved this, but copied what I saw in Burger-Fi: I wrapped all of it in lettuce leaves. A bit less messy and super good!

A lettuce wrap is a great choice! So glad you enjoyed it!
