Making low carb simple
Instructions
- Add the frozen strawberries, vanilla, and sweetener (if using) to a blender or food processor. Blend for a couple of seconds.
- Add the yogurt and with a spatula, mix with the berries until combined. If you use the blender to mix in the yogurt, the consistency will be similar to a smoothie.
- For an extra fancy presentation, garnish it with fresh strawberries and a slice of lime.
How to add more protein
If you would like to increase the protein even more, use fat free yogurt and add a scoop or two of whey protein powder.
The 9oz berries will also add a significant amount to the volume of the dish and serving.
As noted below the instructions, this can be made with fat-free yogurt, with or without any added protein powder.
This recipe makes 4 servings as written and calls for 1 cup of yogurt, so one serving is going to be 6g net carbs for a little over 1/4c (to account for the volume of the strawberries).
