Our new continuing medical education activity is made for clinicians, but is open to everyone. And the course is now easy to find on the Diet Doctor site.
If you have more time on your hands during these “stay at home” days, and you’re interested in learning more about how low-carb diets can improve obesity, type 2 diabetes, and metabolic syndrome, you can navigate quickly to the CME course.
From the menu at the top of every page, hover over “Low carb & keto” and find the column that says, “Support & programs.” The CME course is at the bottom of that column. From the menu at the top-left of your screen, select “Low carb & keto” and the select “Support & programs.” The CME course is at the bottom of that list.In March, Diet Doctor launched its first continuing medical education activity, Treating metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, and obesity with therapeutic carbohydrate restriction. It provides clinicians with information and tools to safely and effectively use low-carb and keto diets with patients.
Currently, nearly 500 clinicians and other individuals have taken the course and the final exam. Although only doctors, nurses, dietitians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are eligible for continuing education credits, anyone can take the course.
The course provides a solid, evidence-based approach to carbohydrate-restricted diets. If you’ve been confused by some of the things you’ve heard about low-carb and keto diets, this course can help sort fact from fiction.
To take the course, all you need to do is register at dietdoctor.com/cme, scroll to the bottom of the page for the access button, and follow the rest of the steps to get to the course.
