I was wondering the same thing. The store that has the huge displays here is so expensive. Are we talking cheddar?

I saw that the liberal plate has sweet potatoes as steak fries. Check out the different plate size options. :)

    Any answer on Worcestershire sauce?

Worcestershire sauce contains sugar so it's not so good...but then again if you only use a few grams it could be OK if it doesn't trigger cravings.

I'm just starting the 2 week challenge and I'm making the burgers. I used 700g minced beef (I'm in the UK) and made 4 burgers and in my email it says to have 2 portions which is 2 burgers. So that's 350g meat in one sitting - that's a heck of a lot of meat, am I supposed to eat that much?

Sorry if I'm being dim but just want to get off onto the right foot!

Kathryn, I have been following same program thru a different site and I can almost never finish my food. Just eat until you are full and save the rest for another meal. I just started eating meat after 28 years and it took 3 meals to eat 1 burger!

On the two week challenge do I just eat what is on the recipe. Three meals a day with no vegetables? And the snack would be the bouillon cubes ?

The recipe for Monday's dinner suggests serving it with greens and olive oil. As for the burgers, I guess the salsa would be considered the veg, also they are pictured on a bed of lettuce. No snacks except for broth is my understanding. Hope that helps!

The drop down chart below the Ketogenic low carb button. Is that the % for one serving. This recipe has 4 servings... I am counting everything that goes in my mouth so is that % for one serving? THANKS

    Hi Denise!

The % is always the same, but the 5 grams of carb is per servering, so for everything it's 20 grams of carbs.

Hi. I just started the two-week challange today. The burger was amazing.
I am wondering though if the 4 serving means that the recipe is four 2 people, meaning 1 burger for dinner and the other one for lunch tomorrow? I had two burgers tonight and I'm totally stuffed now.
But when I look at the recipe for tomorrow I think only half of what it says would be to less for me...would ve really greatfull for your answers and suggestions.

Hi. I am preparing for the two-week challange and are looking at the shopping list. It say Scallions, 1, but in the recipe for salsa it says 2 scallions. How much scallion should i put in the salsa?

Hi. I was wondering how I can eat the leftovers as lunch when I have to go to school every day and I have to eat my lunch at school. The problem is that I can't heat the food (burgers in this case) at school.

I gave blood again. Six hours before my donation I made a variation of this recipe. NOOOO problems with iron levels, as I have sometimes experienced.

I did not use any of the toppings on top. I put the vegs into the meat, added some olive oil to the raw meat *because Bison* which is lean and dry, and used less cheese and it was Blue cheese at that, melted on top of the finished and hot burgers.

    Thanks for the springboard.

    Hi Bram!

Maybe this is a better option for lunch if you can't heat your food: https://www.dietdoctor.com/recipes/salad-in-a-jar

    Best of luck!

    Hi Siv!

It depends on how many servings you're making. If your making 4 servings it's 2 scallions but I'm guessing you've chosen the shoppinglist for 1 person and then you only need to make 2 servings which calls for only 1 scallion.

    Best of luck!

Tried the cheeseburgers. These are huge! My wife was freaking out that I was cooking a heart attack. Unfortunately, pretty dry and bland for my taste. Hopefully other recipes will be better.
  18. Ange

So this recipe is great - and certainly ticked all the boxes with regards to starting the 2-week challenge. Must remember to grate my own cheese rather than use the pre-grated stuff.
One exception, though - I must remember to NEVER put oregano in my burger mix again! Or definitely less of it... not for me at all.

I definately agree about the oregano, it was all I could taste for hours later, and made me feel so nauseous! I also was thinking it needed some extra salt, but that may be because I used real onion and garlic instead of the powders...

Can I add homemade root vegetable fries (root veg strips tossed in olive oil & spices, then baked) as a side?
  20. DT
You did make a bit much as 1 kg is 2.2 pounds. The recipe calls for 3/4 of a pound so just take 2200g and multiply by .75 that will give you the proper grams
  21. DT
Hi Ange did you add fresh oregano or dried? Remeber dried is 3 times stronger than fresh. The recipee is calling for 3 tbls so be sure to only use 1 tsp if it is dried oregano. If you are using ground go with even less i would say 1/2 tsp or even 1/4. Adding the garlic and onion fresh sounds good but remember they grow under ground and will have more carbohydrates than normal vegetables.

Would like to be able to talk to someone, to really explain everything to me first . It sound good, but I don't like that I can not talk to someone and asked question and go step by step with me. I think more people would like the program, if they had someone to talk to first, to explain the program.

I am confused on how to measure my fats, proteins and carbs. This has percentages. How will we know how many grams that is for each serving?

    Thanks :)

  28. Jolin
How many grams of fat and protein per serving
  29. Kelly
These were very good. Will definitely make again but will season the meat differently.

I am 3 weeks into my keto diet. I tried only the burger recipe and it was amazing. I made this recipe for 3 servings and I did not have fresh oregano so I used 1 teaspoon of dried oregano instead and the results were amazing although it needed some salt and pepper to taste as I used garlic and onion granules, not salts. Will definitely make it again.

    Hi Cedena!

If you choose one serving in the menu, then you make one burger.

Hi, can females follow this meal plan with how much protein we would be getting? Macros for females say we should get about 68-70 g of protein but these recipes are closer to 80-85 a day. I've been on the diet for a week and a half and am losing but wonder if I would be losing more cutting back on all the protein? I see that many of the recipes are written by women (as is this one) so I assumed it was ok? Thanks!

    Hi Rachel!

As long as you lose weight you don't have to cut back protein.

Just made the burgers without the jalepons and mayo and my basis there tasty, I used 200g beef mince 20% fat added two slices of bacon, delicious
  36. Natasha
Here is where I am confused. It says it makes 4 servings. I can only have 22g per my macros. This states 8g. Is it 8g for one patty or for all 4? I’m assuming it’s 8g for 1 right?

The nutrition breakdown is for the whole recipe. 8g carbs per serving.

    Hello Carmen,
Indeed, it was 1 burger for dinner and 1 for lunch on the next day.
    I hope it helps
  39. Mahshid
I wish we could see the carbohydrate amount of each ingredient separately (carbohydrates per amount used in the recipe). Then if I didn't wanna have tomatoes, or I wanted to replace it with something else, it would still be balanced and accurate.

Disregard my first message. I was craving a burger so badly, this came at the right time. I thoroughly enjoyed for dinner and then lunch!

Many people like ranch dressing on their burgers!

  44. Georgi
Hello, you should parameterize the number of burgers in the recipe instructions. It cannot always say "Make four burgers" irrespective of the number of servings. You can imagine that a 100 g burger is not qute the same as a 200 g burger and so on... ;)
  45. Susan
These burgers are super tasty! I prepped the patties the night before, shaping them with a patty press and refrigerating them with a piece of parchment paper between each. I also made the salsa the night before as well, and it was very flavorful the following evening. Great meal to prep ahead of time when you know the following evening will be busy!

I really liked this recipe taste but I had a hard time cooking the burgers. They were sticking to the fry and falling a part. Dont we need to put egg in it?

You may want to try adding bacon grease to the pan to help prevent them from sticking but if you use ground beef with enough fat, it should render it's own juices to help prevent that.

Can I please ask for an edit? I've made this twice and I've made the same mistake both times. Could the qty of cheese to put in the patties be edited to 50g and put the other 50g in with the toppings please?
