One pharmacist saw that the “pill for every ill” approach of medicine was failing many of his customers. That’s why Graham Phillips, an award-winning pharmacist, gave up the routine of filling drug prescriptions and started a company to help people improve their health with low-carb lifestyles and metabolic monitoring.
With his transition, Graham believes he is making a difference. He sees a future where pharmacists dispense appropriate medications, but they also have the role of educating customers about lifestyle interventions that make many of the meds unnecessary. Pharmacists could be part of a movement towards deprescription and better health.
