‘Within one year of going keto, I was prescription-free for the first time in decades!’

Additionally, Debbie never exercised when she was losing weight. For that reason, she doesn’t think that it’s necessary for weight loss. But over time, as she’s gotten healthier with keto, she finds that she wants to move more.
Debbie’s top tips for people starting keto
- Keep it simple. Eat simple meals and keep carbs low. Too many people end up feeling overwhelmed counting macros and grams. It doesn’t have to be complicated!
- Immerse yourself in reading. Learn as much as possible about low-carb and keto diets. Learn from people who are further into their low-carb journey, and read keto books and articles.
- Eat real foods and keep carbs low. This is very similar to point one, but she stresses the importance of focusing on the most important thing for success on keto: eating very few carbs. The sooner you lower your carbs, the sooner you’ll get your cravings under control.
