I really want to try this recipe, but I NEED to know the calorie count, carbs, fats and protein.
We don't want to promote to much "counting" that's why we only have the carbs in gram.
But If you feel that this is important to you then use the formula below to calculate, a bit complicated though. ;-)
(%PROTEIN / %CARB) * gram_CARB = gram_PROTEIN
(%FAT / %CARB) * 4/9 * gram_CARB = gram_FAT
gram_CARB * 4 + gram_PROTEIN*4 + gram_FAT*9 = CALORIES
If you need exact nutritional info... I suppose you could enter the ingredients of the recipe into one of those food tracker websites like Sparkpeople.com (was free last I checked) that compile it for you.
Served it with the garlic naan recipe from this site - delicious!
At the bottom of the left column you will see “Nutrition” with a + sign. Press the plus sign and you will get the nutritional values,
It says it has 6g carbs per serving but the only thing with carbs in there is the 1/4 bell pepper, which is 1g of carbs. Where do all the other carbs come from?
Why is the fibre always a shaded number ?
I am assuming your net carbs number above it has already subtracted the fibre number that is shaded ?

Yes, the number listed is the net carbs number. We have already subtracted the fiber out.
Many people who are dairy free can use ghee. If you can not, you can use bacon grease or coconut oil instead.
You can add all of the spice amounts together - 7 teaspoons plus a pinch. That's about 2.3 tablespoons.
